For
me, faces are fascinating. A face is an ever-changing
landscape expressing the spirit, or it is a kind of
wall, hiding and protecting the spirit. Each face
is an adventure. I photograph an individual with trepidation,
excitement, and a kind of reverence. Then I am both
Pan – serenading the essence of my subject with
friendly conversation – and Diana – capturing
it when it makes its appearance.
Photography is an art of the opportunist,
the lover, and the sober curator of prints and negatives.
Photography is the magic of the arrested moment, see
through a glass lightly.
